Good work gets attention for a week. An award record stays searchable for years.
USG-UK covers interiors, architecture-led spaces, exhibitions and product design. Every winning project is published in a public archive that stays online.
We award the designers and studios behind them, from a single apartment to a public square.
What the jury looks for.
Looks are the easy part. We look for work that solves a real problem and still reads clearly ten years on.
Clarity
The idea, the form and the materials all point the same way.
Originality
A point of view of its own, not a version of what already works.
Impact
The work still matters to the people who use it after the photographs are done.
